Kaon IT Security specialise in the human factors side of information security. The organisation has a strong track record of providing discrete and confidential services to a range of local government, central government and commercial enterprises in Australia and New Zealand. In our history we have worked to develop long term relationships with our clients and built a level of trust that is key to ensuring they keep their systems, data and people secure.

The company is acknowledged for its regional leadership in helping organisations improve their security posture. A typical engagement entails developing a strategic and holistic view of information governance and IT security leading to programmatic improvement. Tactical advice is also readily on hand as the dynamic nature of technology means a “set and forget” approach to IT security has limited effectiveness. No organisation or individual is immune to cyber threats, however Cybersecurity, if viewed strategically and delivered programmatically, can be a very cost effective business enabler.

Information technology is an integral part of all enterprise operations so our consultants are well versed in communicating in the right terms to people at all levels within an organisation on topics including risk, assurance, governance and IT operations. Contact us today.

Local Government Procurement (LGP) is a business arm of LGNSW.

LGP provides fully integrated procurement services: establishing contract panels, consulting and procurement training to NSW councils, not-for-profit organisations, universities and state government agencies/departments.

LGP is a ‘prescribed entity’ under s55 of the Local Government Act 1993 (NSW) and Local Government (General) Regulation 2005 (NSW). This means councils don’t need to tender for values greater than the tendering threshold and instead utilise supply arrangements coordinated by LGP.

LGP focuses on creating procurement efficiencies and building procurement expertise, saving councils hundreds of millions of rate payers’ dollars.

·         We are customer focused

·         We are innovating our organisation

·         We reduce cost

·         We reduced risk

·         We offer a broad suite of services that form an integrated procurement solution

·         We promote learning and procurement capability development

·         We invest back into the local government sector

·         We focus on growing regional economic development.

We are an innovative leader, expert and champion, delivering high-value procurement solutions, education and consulting services. We achieve this aspiration through engaged, empowered and accountable staff who enjoy being part of our talented team.

Since commencing in 2006, it is estimated that LGP has been responsible for saving eligible customers hundreds of millions of dollars. This has been achieved through better pricing via economies of scale and time and opportunity cost savings in not needing to go out to tender. LGP’s primary value is delivered through our contracts, over the past 3 years since 2015 LGP has managed $1.7b in spend under our contracts, delivering an estimated $30m in annual savings to NSW councils. During this time LGP has invested $3.3m back into local government via the rebate scheme, helping us to achieve $93m in financial benefit to the NSW local government sector.
